Lauren Walls is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master’s degree in Biblical Counseling (MABC). Lauren also received a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and a specialization in Special Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio. While teaching in San Antonio, Lauren was actively involved in the social and emotional learning of her at-risk students and found a passion for helping children navigate their emotional needs. 

Lauren works primarily with children, adolescents and young adults suffering from anxiety, depression, and trauma-related issues. With children, Lauren utilizes child-centered play therapy and works alongside the whole family to help children gain skills to manage their emotions, build stronger connections, and improve communication within the family unit. As a former teacher, Lauren finds great joy in coming alongside children and adolescents in their current circumstances and helping them to find support, understanding, and meaning in their lives.
 
Lauren is certified in Restoration Therapy (Level 1), Prepare and Enrich for Engaged Couples, and currently working towards Play Therapy Professional™ Certification. Lauren is also an active member of The Child Centered Play Therapy Collective, a community of play therapists preserving and advancing the child-centered model. Lauren is supervised by Dr. Kirsti Reese, LPC (License #76443).
