Cody is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master’s degree in Theology (Th.M) and a Masters degree in Biblical Counseling (MABC). He completed his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University where he was a proud member of the Corps of Cadets and Aggie football team. After spending fifteen years in business and commercial real estate, Cody followed his dream of pursuing theological and counseling vocation. Cody and his wife Cindy have navigated the adventures of life together for over 27 years. They have four children, ages 17-23. They love travel, being active, sports and all things outdoors… hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, snowboarding, scuba diving, just to name a few favorite activities!
Cody finds great joy is being invited into the sacred ground of the story(s) of his clients’ lives to journey alongside them, having the honor and privilege to bear witness to the foundational places of pain that await further truth, freedom, and transformation. Cody understands this work is for all of us, himself included, and takes courage, commitment, ownership, and responsibility. Self-discipline, work, and growth are critical to the healing process, and Cody believes that we are all ultimately healed in relationship. The counseling relationship offers a trusting space where individuals can practice vulnerability, self-regulation, and empowerment and experience the freedom and lasting change that results.
Cody is under the supervision of Dr. Erik Salwen, LPC-S #68000 (543 William D. Fitch Pkwy, Suite 111, College Station, TX 77845).
