How much do sessions cost?
Fees reflect a counselor’s experience, credentials, and specialization Our counseling fees range from $60 to $135 for a 50-minute session. You will pay for services at the time of your appointment.
Do you take insurance?
While we do not submit health insurance, we provide medically coded receipts for clients who wish to file for reimbursement with their insurance company. Many insurance companies will cover services provided by “Out of Network Mental Health Providers.” We do not take HSA payments. For more information on your benefits and the process for reimbursement, please contact your insurance provider directly.
How many sessions will I need?
Your counselor will discuss with your individual needs and desires for counseling and develop a plan for care that best fits your needs.
How long do sessions last?
Typically, sessions are 50-minutes in duration. Sometimes counselors will offer longer sessions if it is beneficial to the client.

Do I have to be a member at Christ the King Presbyterian Church to receive counseling services?
Are your counselors licensed?
At Christ the King Counseling Center our counselors are
- Licensed professional counselors (LPC), licensed by the state of Texas to practice as professionals,
- LPC interns who have earned a Masters degree from an accredited university, and are now working towards licensure by completing the required 3,000 hours of supervised practice,
- Practicum students currently enrolled in a counseling program, and are earning the required counseling hours needed for the completion of their degree,
- Certified nutrition consultants with training and experience in nutrition and wellness.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask that you give 24-hour notice in advance if you need to re-schedule your appointment because this time commitment is held exclusively for you. Otherwise, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
Do you offer reduced fees?
Our counseling fees range from $60-$135 per session. If you are unable to pay this fee, please request our Reduced Fee Application in the intake form. We have limited scholarship funds to offer based on an income sliding scale rate. Application does not guarantee a reduced fee. Additionally, practicum counselors are available to see individuals at a reduced rate.
