Spring 2025 Book Club Information

Join us as The Barnabas Center kicks off its Book Club! Together we will explore books selected by The Barnabas Center for you to follow along at your own pace.

You will be given a guideline with suggested read-by dates to encourage you and help facilitate discussion points. How and when you read is completely up to you! You will also receive, through email and Instagram, questions and considerations about the book to consider as you read. A response is encouraged (but not required).

We will begin on February 21st and conclude on March 28th with a coffee and group discussion facilitated by Haley Webster, MA, LPC Associate (Time and Date TBD). This Coffee and Chat is a great chance to ask questions and hear about others' opinions and experiences.

This month, we'll read Setting Parents Free by Dr. John Cox. In Setting Parents Free, Dr. Cox offers wonderful wisdom around parenting through his years of work counseling parents and being a parent himself as he guides us through the basic things that kids need to do life well, understand love, and follow God. He also gives parents the freedom to be imperfect and shows us how mistakes might actually improve our relationship with our children.

We are excited to explore this book with you! The link to purchase the book can be found at: Setting Parents Free
